English Language Challenges

For me learning English has always been an important aspect of academic formation, since it opens a door to the world. It has never been difficult for me to learn English because when I was little I watched many Disney Channel series where they taught you English through the songs that the characters sang. Little by little I became more interested in the language and as the years passed I just listened to music in English, then I started watching videos in English on YouTube and I realized that I understood almost everything they said, there were only some words I did not understand and I looked for them right at the time.

The hard part came when I tried to start writing in English, at that moment I realized that I had learned everything by listening but I had never seen it. So writing the English words is hard for me.

On the other hand, this semester has been difficult to focus on the subject because I am in the final stage of the career, so I combine the subjects  that I need to finish to begin the thesis and also making the practice, so the time i have to work in my English is almost nothing.

It has also been difficult to work a more complex language, I feel that this semester focuses on learning an English that will help us to study in other countries so the academic language has been difficult for me, because I feel that require other abilities, like grammer or give the text a complex argumentative structure.
